Interestingly I found out recently that my cadence has been to high. About a month ago, I noticed that I could not exert force on the pedals in the same way that I have in the past. It turns out that while I have been training to maintain a high cadence, too high of a cadence caused me to lose that force. There is a delicate balance in finding the right cadence to optimize performance.
The same goes for daily life. How is your cadence? Too high and you are spinning and not going far, too low and you are wasting a lot of energy.
Find that balance and you will go a lot farther.
