Big Ash Tree

When they had to cut down this big Ash tree, I asked if anyone had claimed it or if I could take some for firewood.  The pictures tell the answer:
Jubal came with me to hang out and supervise while Rhonda spent the evening on the town, celebrating the end of her first class that will lead into nursing school.  I brought the camera hoping that Jubal would take some pictures.  I asked him to take lots of them.  He did and they are really creative.  I was very impressed.

The creativity and the angles were all his idea, I was too busy sawing to give him any guidance.  Being goal driven, I wanted to get the job done.  He took about 25 pictures, and had fun doing it.  This kid amazes me.  He is reading at a 2nd grade level too.  I look at him and wonder what he will be when he grows up.  No telling at this point.  Whatever it is, I'll be proud!!

Fulfillment in getting the woodshed stocked and seasoning, ready for winter time.

Have a great day.

Did you count the growth rings on your Green Ash tree? Do you guys know the "ASH" will be EXTINCT soon because of E.A.B.? There are several sure fire ways to treat the Ash till the borer goes away. Pick one that seeds to save. Don't wait till the tree shows damage! If you don't have an Ash, you do know what it looks like. Help a neighbor that might not know they have one.

Missouri is home to the worlds oldest "Pumpkin Ash" tree, and just south of your states there is the Velvet Ash species from Texas. Scientists think the American White Ash is the progenitor to the Worlds Fraxinus Ash species that spread to other continents during prehistoric geopoetry plate movements. The one cut down above looked to be between 70 and 100 years old. Here in Chicago, the city has successfully saved 36,000 trees from EAB so far. The Bulk purchased Tree-age works 100% if applied correctly, and Imidacloprid also works great as long as tree gets it a year and half earlier for proper uptake time. Thanks for saving them!
